In an inspiring display of youthful imagination and technological curiosity, Grade 3 students took center stage at the annual Tiny Tech Creators 2026–27 event hosted on the GIIS KL field. The competition provided young learners with an engaging platform to demonstrate their understanding of computer systems and artificial intelligence through hands-on model-making.

Designed to bridge digital concepts with practical creativity, the activity required students to construct models of AI tools and computer parts using recyclable materials. By turning discarded items into functional representations of modern technology, the students embodied the core principles of environmental stewardship and creative problem-solving.

The event unfolded across two distinct rounds. It kicked off on July 20, 2026, with a video-based preliminary round where participants introduced their ideas. The excitement reached its peak during the final round on July 21, 2026, on the school field, where students presented their physical models and explained their technical mechanisms directly to judges, teachers, and enthusiastic parents.

Beyond technical learning, the activity strongly aligned with the GIIS KL 9 Gems Framework. By designing original models, students demonstrated Innovation and Creativity, while their commitment to using eco-friendly materials reflected deep-seated Universal Values and Ethics alongside a genuine sense of Community and Care.

Furthermore, the project actively supported key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Promoting mindful recycling and eco-conscious habits supported SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, while the collaborative outdoor setting and hands-on expression fostered mental well-being and active learning, directly aligning with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being. Through this event, GIIS KL students showed that even the youngest creators can drive impactful, eco-friendly technological awareness.
